Problem
Over 140,000 people worldwide are diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) annually. When including other disabilities, the number exceeds 5 million. Many individuals with this disease lose their ability to communicate. Auxiliary systems are often costly and lack functionality.
Solution
We created a hardware system that we configure all wheelchairs. Our system uses head movements to control the wheelchairs. Communicate non-verbally by controlling our computer program with head movements.
